The Paper is out now; here is everything you need to know about the show, including episode lengths and titles.
The Paper is set in the same universe as The Office and will be in the same mockumentary style as the show. It even has Oscar Nunez’s Oscar Martinez returning as a series regular. At this time, it’s unclear if there will be other The Office stars in the series.
Greg Daniels, the creator of the American version of The Office, is also the creator and showrunner of The Paper alongside Michael Koman (co-creator of Nathan For You). Greg Daniels also co-created King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation. The latter of which was originally set to be a spin-off of The Office but was later changed to being a separate entity.

The Paper Episode Lengths vs The Office
A majority of The Office episodes were typical network length for a 30-minute sitcom, so around 20 to 22 minutes. There were episodes once in a while (more frequent in later seasons) that were super-sized at 42-ish minutes, which was one episode that counted as two episodes since it was on cable so it had to fit the slot.
The Paper on the other hand has the luxury of being a streaming show so it’s not tethered to any specific runtime. The show does seem to have gone for 30-minute episodes as all of the episodes are consistently at that range.
The total runtime of the season is 288 minutes, so about 28.8 minutes on average. This would be a little over 4 to 5 more minutes than The Office had on average.
The longest episode of the season is the pilot at 32 minutes and the shortest is episode 8 “Church and State” at 26 minutes.

The Office’s first season had 6 episodes and then expanded to a 22-episode second season and hovered around that episode count for the rest of its run. There’s a possibility The Paper may do something similar if it is indeed successful.
