How Long Is The Legend of Ochi?
It’s been shown that the final runtime of Isaiah Saxon’s The Legend of Ochi is 96 minutes or 1 hour and 36 minutes. The film carries a tight $10 million budget according to director Isaiah Saxon and so the short runtime reflects that considering the film’s expansive scope.
AI Allegations
After the film’s first trailer was released people started to speculate on Twitter / X whether or not the film used generative. Soon, Isaiah Saxon himself started replying to tweets confirming that the film had no use of AI.
Saxon further added that the film was “handmade over 6 years on a $10m budget, with animatronic puppets, matte paintings, [and] filmed on location in the Carpathian mountains,” hence “no ai whatsoever.” You can watch the full trailer for the film here:
A24 can be trusted for taking the decision of producing Saxon’s film as they’re also known for assisting first-time filmmakers such as Ari Aster with Hereditary, even though Saxon has directed music videos under his co-founded studio, Encyclopedia Pictura, for artists such as Björk and Grizzly Bear.
