‘The End of Oak Street’ Releases First Trailer For David Robert Mitchell Dinosaur Film
The End of Oak Street is the next film from auteur director David Robert Mitchell. Watch the The End of Oak Street trailer inside.
As we exclusively reported, The End of Oak Street has released its first trailer right on time, alongside a first look poster, and enough material for audiences to begin theorising potential Cloverfield connections. Following a title change from Flowervale Street to The End of Oak Street, Warner Bros. has finally released the first trailer for David Robert Mitchell’s follow-up to his 2014 slasher-thriller It Follows. Read the synopsis below:
After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.

The film is a unique one as it plays into David Robert Mitchell’s horror-thriller tendencies, but maintains an 80s Amblin-esque vibe, but also because its a non-franchise dinosaur film, something that has become increasingly rare as the Jurassic World franchise continues its monopoly in the subgenre, with a dinosaur film not being seen in theatres since the Adam Driver vehicle 65 back in 2023. Watch the trailer below:
The trailer sees a street from the 1980s transported back in time time to a prehistoric period where dinosaurs roam freely. The residents come with it too, as a flash of light marks the transportation, with the patriarch played by Ewan McGregor, matriarch played by Anne Hathaway, son played by Christian Convery, and daughter played by Maisy Stella, being horrified at their situation.
The film, being produced by JJ Abrams, has also invited theories of connections to Abrams’ Cloverfield franchise.

The End of Oak Street is directed by David Robert Mitchell and stars Ewan McGregor, Anne Hathaway, Christian Convery, and Maisy Stella. The film hits theatres on August 14, 2026.
