The Alchemist Releases Collab With Freddie Gibbs & ScHoolboy Q, Titled “Ferraris In The Rain Part 2”
One of rap’s most prolific producers, The Alchemist, is back with a new song, collaborating with Freddie Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q for “Ferraris In The Rain Part 2”. Listen to The Alchemist’s “Ferraris In The Rain Part 2” down below.
Making a name for himself producing rap beats for some of the biggest names in the industry, Alan Maman, best known by his stage name The Alchemist, is one of the most prolific producers in the rap genre. Most recently producing Kendrick Lamar’s cutthroat Drake diss “meet the grahams”, he’s known for his sample-heavy production style and frequently collaborates with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Freddie Gibbs.
Today, he reteamed with Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q for a new song titled “Ferraris In The Rain Part 2”, acting as a sequel to the song from The Alchemist’s The Genuine Articulate record from last month.
The song is divided unevenly, with Gibbs performing vocals for most of the 2-minute 49-second runtime, with ScHoolboy Q taking the rest of the song from the vocals to the segue and eventual outro. Gibbs, taking advantage of a popular piece of music controversy, references rapper and alleged sex trafficker P. Diddy in a line that reads (or rather, heard) as follows:
“Bitch, I’m the best of this at any rate
Bet my new tape spark shit like the Diddy tapes”
“Ferraris In The Rain Part 2” is performed by Freddie Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q as featured artists, with The Alchemist producing the song as lead. The song is distributed courtesy of The Alchemists’s independent record label ALC Records.
