‘Subnautica 2’ Early Access To Have GeForce Now Support At Launch
The game will be added to the cloud gaming service as early as launch day on May 14th.
With less than 24 hours until Subnautica 2 launches into Early Access on Steam, Epic Games, and Xbox, Unknown Worlds has just made an announcement that opens the game to a lot more players.
Starting on May 14th, the launch date of Early Access, Subnautica 2 will be made available on the cloud gaming service Nvidia GeForce Now. GeForce Now allows users to stream a catalog of select games straight to their TV, PC, or mobile device regardless of their system specifications.
The service is entirely free, users simply need a decent internet connection to begin playing. The free plan allows gaming in up to 1080p, 60 FPS with hour-long sessions. The Performance plan ($9.99 USD/month or $99.99 USD/year) allows up to 1440p, 60 FPS with six-hour sessions, while the Ultimate plan ($19.99 USD/month or $199.99 USD/year) allows up to 5K, 360 FPS with eight-hour sessions. Please note that you can play multiple sessions per day. Once your initial session is over you’ll have to wait in a queue, the wait time varies, but Performance and Ultimate users have priority access and first priority access to the queue, respectively.
To play Subnautica 2 on GeForce Now, players will have to purchase the game from Steam, the Epic Games Store or Xbox Store and be subscribed to the Premium Plan. Next, you have to connect the account you purchased Subnautica 2 on to your GeForce Now account. Once that’s done you’ll see the game under the “My Library” section. For easy access, you can either favourite the game or create a shortcut (PC only).
What Is Subnautica 2 About?

Subnautica 2 is the third entry in the long-running underwater survival horror franchise. This title follows a group of Alterra employees who find themselves on an all-new planet that houses a new array of underwater mysteries and dangers. Read the official synopsis below:

Subnautica 2 is developed by Unknown Worlds. The game launches in Early Access for $29.99 USD on PC (Steam and Epic Games) and Xbox Series X|S on May 14th, 2026 at 11:00 AM EDT.
