‘Peacemaker’ Season 2, Episode 8 Teaser: A Multiverse Of Madness

Peacemaker has concluded its seventh episode of season two, after learning the truth of Earth-2 the 11th Street Kids managed to bring Chris home but not without casualties. The episode ended with Chris giving himself and the Quantum Unfolding Chamber device over to ARGUS who takes him into custody.

What Happens In The ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2, Episode 8 Teaser?

The Episode 8 promo, which lasts for about 35 seconds opens with Chris (John Cena) in a jail cell, a guard walks in and says “There’s some people here who wanna visit” we then cut to the clipboard which shows the names Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), Adrian Chase (Freddie Stroma) and John Economos (Steve Agee). Chris quickly says “No, I don’t want to see anyone”, the guard asks why to which Chris responds “Maybe because I’m the Angel of fucking Death.” A reference to the amount of people who have died or gotten hurt because of him which he relives nearing the end of episode 7. 

“On the season finale Peacemaker” appears on screen, ARGUS now in possession of the Quantum Unfolding Chamber device begins exploring the doors, the agents are wearing Hazmat suits for safety. Someone opens a white door, in the secure building where Sydney is held, someone shouts “Door 22 is unlocked!” Rick Flag Senior (Frank Grillo) says “We’re gonna find what we need in there and everything we talked about is gonna come to fruition” but it’s unclear what ARGUS is looking for. We cut to the inside of Door 22 which appears to be a candyland, Emilia appears to be the one who opened the door. A piece of cotton candy attaches to her helmet before the grass begins to move rapidly, Emilia and the other agents turn around.

“One” appears and we get a closeup of Emilia looking in the sky followed by her and Sasha Bordeaux (Sol Rodríguez) sitting in a restaurant together. “Episode” follows and we see an ARGUS agent drag two other agents away from an unidentified creature from another door. “Left” continues after that we see Adrian, John, Emilia and Adebayo start gathering all the money that Vigilante has in his basement. John asks “Do we even know what we’re looking for” and we see him by a computer while Sasha watches over him. We see Rick Flag Senior bring in some more ARGUS soldiers, we hear Emilia’s response to John’s question from before “Resources, new ground for overpopulation.” 

An ARGUS agent opens another door and we see an Earth that’s become a wasteland, overrun by skeleton spiders. We cut back to John who says “When has anything we’ve ever done actually been for the good of the people?” Emilia looks worried as the promo ends.

Peacemaker Season 2 is created by James Gunn and stars John Cena as Christopher Smith / Peacemaker, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt and more. The first seven episodes are now streaming on HBO Max, the eight and final episode premieres on October 9th at 6:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM EDT.
