New ‘Ironheart’ Trailer Showcases A Magic Twist

Ironheart and Dominique Thorne’s casting as the titular hero were announced during Disney’s Investor Day on December 10th, 2020. Additional casting occurred during the following months such as Anthony Ramos’ role as series antagonist The Hood.

Filming began at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in June 2022 before shifting to Chicago in October of that year and wrapping up November of the same year. The series marks the end of the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with The Fantastic Four: First Steps jump starting the final phase of the Multiverse Saga.

The first trailer saw Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) passing Parker Robbins’ (Anthony Ramos) deadly elevator test, proving herself to be worthy of his funding. We also see Parker being corrupted by dark forces, even going as far as fighting Riri. Additionally we’re introduced to other members of the cast such as the NATALIE AI (Lyric Ross), Zelma Stanton (Regan Aliyah), and Alden Ehrenreich’s mysterious character.

What Happens In The New Ironheart Trailer?

The second Ironheart trailer mostly reuses footage from the first trailer however after the university scene we see a flashback of Riri’s stepdad, she says that he taught her the best way to know something is to take it apart, we see a mural of her stepdad and Natalie. We see a brief shot of Riri designing one of her suits on a laptop and traveling to meet Alden Ehrenreich’s character. A quick shot of Zelma Stanton (Regan Aliyah) is followed by the highlight of this trailer, Riri is seen with what appears to be her Mark V armor as magic is being infused into it. Zelma is helping draw some dark symbols, and we also see an even more corrupted Parker confront Riri alongside a new shot of her flying across a river. The trailer ends with what appears to be the time Riri first creates the NATALIE AI using some of Riri’s memories of her.

Ironheart is created by Chinaka Hodge and stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams / Ironheart, Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins / The Hood and more. The series premieres with three episodes on Disney+ on June 24th.
