Today the creative team at Insomniac Games attended San Diego Comic Con 2026 for the “Marvel’s Wolverine: Deep Cuts” panel where they discussed their upcoming title. In addition to some behind the scenes looks, the panel also included a Story Trailer which you can view below:
The trailer, which lasts for 1 minute and 49 seconds, opens with a confrontation between Jean Grey (Krizia Bajos) and Logan (Liam McIntyre), he almost attacks her before sticking his claws in the metal structure behind them, it appears that Logan was being mind controlled. After the Marvel Games logo, we see Logan freeing someone from a Trask prison cell, Logan mentions seeing things from before and we see various flashbacks. A Trask truck is shown followed by one of the Reavers detaining Leech, we then cut to an underground facility that Logan is sneaking around in. We also see a glimpse of Bolivar Trask who declares that “Humans and mutants can’t survive together.” In a Trask facility, an explosion occurs while Jean and Logan are trying to save some of the captured mutants.
We see a brief conversation between Jean and Logan where she mentions trying her best to keep the mutants safe followed by a scene where Logan, Sabretooth and Mystique are near a destroyed building. Logan and Sabretooth are seen fighting before we cut to Logan dodging an attack from a sentinel that’s still being built. Logan and the prisoner which he freed are cornered by Reavers before we cut to Logan and Leech looking at the sunset. In this moment, an offscreen voice says, “We were going to build the future for mutants. That is why you belong here.” Logan escapes from a building on a motorcycle, facing off against members of The Hand. We also see Lady Deathstryke and a masked foe who says, “Tell the best. The hand is ready.”
We move on to a club, Jean wears a green dress and Logan is dressed up as his alter ego, Patch. The two are seen dancing together as we cut to another scene where Logan is terrified. The duo are seen in a plane moments before an explosion goes off, Logan grabs Jean’s hand as we see Hand ninjas escaping from the plane. Some action shots are shown including a battle between Logan and Lady Deathstryke, Jean getting rid of some Reavers, Omega Red throwing something at Logan, Logan blocking Sabretooth’s attacks with a Reaver and finally Logan being trapped by Omega Red who says, “Just give in!” We see Logan face off against Hand ninjas in a number of locations followed by a severely damaged Logan being blasted with a sonic beam. Jean says “Remember who you are” as we see Logan screaming in the forest while being surrounded by Reavers. After the game’s logo, the trailer closes out with Logan in a snowy forest as he says, “Just can’t let a man rest in peace can ya?”
