Scott Mescudi, best known by his stage name, Kid Cudi, has just released a new single titled “The Moon Man Survives”.
With an extensive career filled with passion and creativity, Kid Cudi is one of the most popular artists in the genre of rap. After twelve studio albums that varied in levels of success, and with a third on the way, Cudi has dropped another single.
The single, titled “The Moon Man Survives” belongs to a collection of singles that form a soundtrack for the artist’s Moon Man comic series. It’s the fourth of the series following “Black Ops”, “Dreams I See”, and “Dont Worry” which were all released earlier this year.
The song release coincides with the debut of the Moon Man #5 comic issue, which was published by Image Comics. The song also comes after Cudi announced that the first single for his next album will be released on January 30th, which is also Cudi’s birthday.
The synopsis for Moon Man was provided by Image Comics and reads as follows:
“Ramon is ready for a quiet life. Whatever went wrong on that failed moon mission, whatever happened in the missing minutes the cameras didn’t capture, all he really wants is to settle down back home. But those missing minutes hold an Earth-shattering secret-and, with all eyes turned to him, Ramon will soon find himself becoming something the world has never seen before”
Issues #6 and #7 will be released on December 18th and January 15th respectively, perfectly ramping up for the release of this new single from the artist.
“The Moon Man Survives” was written, produced and performed by Kid Cudi and is now available on all major streaming platforms via Republic Records. You can find the song on Spotify below:
