‘Fortnite’ Community Day: What To Expect

Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming event set for May 30th including rewards, map changes and a tease for the end of season live event.

Following last week’s announcement that Fortnite will hold its first ever Community Day on May 30th, we now have a new graphic detailing some of the things in store for the event.

Starting things off, the event will begin at the daily reset meaning that Community Day will be available from May 30th at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET to May 31st at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET. Once you login between that time period you’ll instantly unlock the “Silver Surfer” Wrap, “Community ‘Brella” Glider (With Edit Style) and “Workplace Foundation” Edit Style (Battle Pass Owners Only). Next, we’ll take a look at some of the other things you can look forward to:

5X Rivalry Credits – Rivalry Credits is a Battle Royale exclusive currency that can be earned by winning Rivalry Matches. This currency can be used to buy weapons, healing items and more from Rivalry Vending Machines located across the island.

Double XP – Double XP will be in effect until the end of the season, there is no level limit either meaning you will constantly earn double XP.

Returning Twitch Drops – During the event players can watch Fortnite livestreams on Twitch to earn returning items from the Metal Menace Set including the “Techromancy” Wrap (30 minutes), “Tome of Skulls” Back Bling (60 minutes) and “Skeletal Cyberscythe” Pickaxe (90 minutes).

Blue Chests – on the Fortnite island every available chest will now turn into a Rare Chest meaning that players have a 100% guarantee to get Epic Rarity or higher weapons and items.

Golden Fireworks – The Firework Flare Gun will return for the event now in a golden variant allowing players to shoot golden fireworks across the map. Gold Bars will also drop after the flare gun is shot and your username will be displayed in the sky.

Player Voted Weapon Unvaults – The Slapperoni Pizza will be made available during the event, each slice grants the player either 35 Health or Shield and grants the slap effect. Additionally, Community Day brings the return of the Finger Gun, a weapon originally added during the 2026 April Fools Event.

FNCS Major 1 Summit Watch Party – At 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET, the FNCS Major 1 Summit will go live at the Legends Landing Map (Island Code: 2325-4055-3398). The event is streamed live from Dusseldorf, Germany.

Community Day Power Hour – At 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET, a power hour will go into effect where players can find the Cube Rifle, Reforged Infinity Blade and Self-Revive Device across the map.

The Showdown Epilogue – At 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET, the epilogue of the showdown between Team Foundation and Team Ice King will occur. Players will learn which team won and Battle Pass owners will receive the respective edit style whether it is the Exalted Frost Ice King or Frost-Ready Foundation.

End Of Season Live Event Reveal – Also at 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET, players will get a teaser trailer for the final live event of Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 2: Showdown. As a reminder, depending on which team you chose at the start of the season, the event will play out differently.

As you can see there’s lots to look forward to in the first Fortnite Community Day, make sure to login to the game during this time period as we’re unsure whether these items will be made available again in the future.
