‘Fortnite’ Apprentice Rey Available Now

Another beloved character turns to the dark side in the latest Fortnite update.

After five weeks, we’ve finally reached part four of the Fortnite x Star Wars: Galactic Battle mini-season titled “Star Destroyer Bombardment”. This update introduces the Star Destroyer’s Turbolaser, capable of destroying structures and enemy players in an instant. Players can access this new weapon by being the first to reach the rift gate that spawns during a match.

That’s not all in this update, as we have a new skin for Rey called “Apprentice Rey,” who appeared in the latest item shop refresh. We previously had a skin based on Rey back in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1.

Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) first appears in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rey started as a scavenger on the planet Jakku, but the day she decided to help a droid called BB-8, she was set on a path to become a Jedi, training under Luke Skywalker.
