Ethan Coen Movie ‘Honey, Don’t’ Sets Release Date
The highly anticipated Honey, Don’t film is going to arrive in theatres sooner rather than later.
Ethan Coen, better known by his joint ventures with brother Joel as The Coens, is ready to return for yet another film following Drive Away Dolls early last year. Honey, Don’t stars an all-star cast including the likes of The Substance’s Margaret Qualley, Agatha All Along’s Aubrey Plaza, Materialists alum Chris Evans, and comedians Charlie Day and Billy Eichner. Qualley actually previously starred in Drive Away Dolls, where she acted alongside Geraldine Viswanathan in a road trip plagued by criminal activities. Find out the Honey, Don’t release date below.
Now, Qualley’s next collaboration with Coen, Honey, Don’t, which is set to be the second film in Coen’s self-proclaimed “lesbian B-movie trilogy,” follows a private investigator (Qualley’s Honey O’Donahue), a cult leader (Evans), and a mystery woman (Plaza) in Bakersfield, California. Now, a new interview with Qualley from IndieWire alleges that the film will be released in May 2025, 15 months after the wide release of Drive Away Dolls.

On top of this movie, Ethan Coen is set to reunite with his brother Joel for a currently untitled horror film. Ethan is also expected to film the third film in his lesbian B-movie trilogy, which is titled Go Beavers, where he will return to write and direct the story that revolves around a reunion of a college rowing team.
As for Qualley, she will also appear in Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon and Kyle Newacheck’s Happy Gilmore 2 later this year. Chris Evans is set to next appear in A24 and Celine Song’s collaborative effort The Materialists, where he will co-star alongside Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal. Aubrey Plaza is coming off the success of Agatha All Along and the word of mouth that came with Megalopolis, and is next set to appear in Animal Friends, an R-rated road trip adventure combining live-action and animated characters.
