DC Studios ‘Lanterns’ Store Page and Logo Revealed
The store page and logo for the upcoming DCU series have just been revealed, indicating that marketing could ramp up soon.
Lanterns was first announced during the “DCU Chapter 1 – Gods & Monsters” video which premiered on January 31st, 2023 which saw James Gunn map out the future of this new DC universe. Casting began much later with Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre playing our titular heroes Hal Jordan and John Stewart respectively. The series inspired by the likes of True Detective will follow Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they investigate a murder that occurs in a small town on Earth. See the official logline below:
“The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.”
Last night fans were treated to an exciting update about the upcoming series as a store page went live on the Official DC Shop with the following description:
“Shop the official Lanterns merch collection on the DC Shop. Explore the darker side of the American heartland with Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Feel like you have a Lantern Ring of your own and shop Lanterns apparel and merch. Coming soon!”
In addition to teasing what we can expect in terms of merchandise, the store page also revealed an updated look at the Lanterns logo which shares a similar font style to that of 2025’s Superman but with a hint of green rising from the bottom. See a comparison of every DCU Logo below:

When Will DC’s Lanterns Be Released?

As of December 12th, 2025 through the “Coming In 2026 | HBO Max” video we know that Lanterns is still set for a 2026 release with the exact date still unknown. James Gunn originally stated that the series would originally premiere before Supergirl (which hits theatres on June 26th) but with the release of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms, Euphoria and House Of The Dragon Season 3 that release date seems unlikely.
On February 6th, we learnt that James Watkins upcoming Horror Film, Clayface was pushed to October 23rd, 2026 this means that there will be approximately 17 Weeks between that film and Supergirl which is more than enough time for the eight episodes of Lanterns to air under a weekly release schedule. The second season of Peacemaker also aired during late Summer, specifically August 21st so Lanterns could follow a similar release date and end just before the premiere of Clayface.
Regardless, with the official reveal of the Lanterns logo and creation of the store page we’re likely to see an official trailer for the series relatively soon alongside other Lanterns related content such as promotional art, posters and more.

Lanterns is created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King. The series stars Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro and More. The series premieres on HBO and HBO Max in 2026.
