‘Avengers: Endgame’ Returns To Theatres In September 2026

Fans can experience the conclusion of the Infinity Saga on the big screen ahead of the release of Avengers Doomsday.

In a surprise turn of events, Marvel Studios has just announced that Avengers: Endgame will return to theatres starting September 25, 2026, approximately three months before the theatrical premiere of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th, 2026 which kicks off the two-part conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. The announcement comes only two days before the seven year anniversary of the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame which amassed a whopping one hundred and ten million views. Read about the Avengers: Endgame re-release.

Avengers Endgame, set five years after Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet and wiped out half of all life in the universe, follows the remaining Avengers as they band together one last time to stop Thanos and bring back the ones they lost.

Read the official synopsis below:

The epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga that became a critically acclaimed worldwide phenomenon, this dramatic showdown pits the Avengers against Thanos. After devastating events wiped out half the world’s population and fractured their ranks, the remaining heroes struggle to move forward. But they must come together to restore order and harmony in the universe and bring their loved ones back.

The re-release comes at an interesting time for Marvel as they only have one independently made film set for release in 2026 (July’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is made in collaboration with Sony Pictures). This made the Marvel Studios slate feel a bit lackluster as they skipped a film release for the spring period, adding Avengers: Endgame into the mix makes 2026 feel like a typical Marvel year with three films to look forward to.

Meanwhile, the Television and Animation side of Marvel is packed for 2026 with the release of Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the untitled Punisher special presentation, X-Men ‘97 Season 2, Vision Quest and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2. Which makes it an overall great year to be a Marvel fan.

The re-release of Avengers: Endgame is sure to be a great experience for anyone witnessing it again or seeing it for the first time on the big screen. While it’s not confirmed, given how close the re-release is to the premiere of Avengers: Doomsday, a new look could be attached to the film whether it’s a clip, brand new trailer or something else entirely. The re-release is definitely something you won’t want to miss.
