‘Day Drinker’ Trailer Serves Up Supernatural Action Thriller Vehicle For Johnny Depp

Marc Webb’s first non-IP film since 2017, and one of Johnny Depp’s first leading roles since he was fired from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, Day Drinker, has just received its first trailer showcasing bartending, the supernatural, and bloody action. Watch the trailer below:

The trailer sees Madelyn Cline as a bartender who encounters Johnny Depp’s mysterious character, who has an accent thats either Irish or Scottish, and soon carnage is unleashed. Read the official synopsis below:

In DAY DRINKER, a private-yacht bartender (Madelyn Cline) encounters a mysterious, onboard guest (Johnny Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Penélope Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.

Day Drinker is director Marc Webb’s follow-up to the disastrous Snow White film at Disney. It marks his first collaboration with Depp, Cline and Penelope Cruz. Depp will next appear in Ti West’s Ebenezer, and as he continues back into the Hollywood spotlight, is also rumoured to return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Day Drinker arrives in theatres on March 26, 2027 and stars Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penelope Cruz. Zach Dean writes the script.
