‘Lanterns’ Merch Available Now On DC Shop
Here’s what you need to know about the first wave of ‘Lanterns’ merch and how much each item costs.
Today marks the beginning of San Diego Comic Con where DC Studios is in attendance to advertise their upcoming series, Lanterns which releases next month on HBO and HBO Max. While attendees are able to purchase some merch and participate in the “Lanterns Training Headquarters” experience, those at home won’t miss out on the fun as the DC Shop has just added some Lanterns themed merch to the online store. New Lanterns Trailer Drops Tomorrow
The Lanterns at SDCC celebrations don’t stop there as a new trailer is set to drop online tomorrow, this is likely the final trailer before the show premieres on August 16th, 2026. See the announcement below:
The brief promo includes someone charging up their green lantern with the power battery, Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) in his suit, a laser shooting down from the sky, John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) being chased on the highway, John pulling out a gun and then seemingly falling into water and finally, Hal (wearing sunglasses) and using his ring to form a construct tornado to stop an explosion.
What Is Lanterns About?
Lanterns follows Green Lantern, Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and Green Lantern in training, John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) as they investigate a murder in an American hometown. They two also face their own conflict as John believes he’s ready to wear the ring despit Hal’s disapproval. Read the official synopsis below:
“The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.”
Lanterns is created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King. The series stars Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, and more. The series premieres on HBO and HBO Max on August 16th, 2026.
