On June 3rd, 2026, the official Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game social pages announced that the game’s release date will be moved from July 2nd to July 23rd, 2026 for the sake of polishing and adding some additional content.
However, fans will still be able to play on the original July 2nd release date, as a closed beta test has been announced, likely the final one before launch. Here’s what you need to know about the closed beta test.
The Closed Beta Test will run from July 2nd until July 5th, 2026 with crossplay support enabled on all platforms. To access this test, you’ll have to pre-order either the Standard Edition ($29.99 USD) or Deluxe Edition ($49.99 USD) of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, pre-orders are currently available on PC (via Steam) with pre-orders for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 available at a later date.
Please note, the Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 versions of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game are planned for a later date and will not be a part of the closed beta test.
What Is Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game About?
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a hand drawn, 1v1 fighting game that pits various characters from across the Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra series against each other. The game features a variety of game modes including Offline & Online Versus, Story, Arcade, Training, Spectator and an Art Gallery that celebrates the history of the series.
