American actor Tom Cruise has been spotted in Hungary shooting a new movie, according to eyewitness accounts.
Reports of Cruise shooting a new project have been coming in over the last month, but have gone largely unreported. Recently, Hungarian outlets have revealed that Cruise is filming a top-secret project in Budapest, Lake Balaton, and Balatonboglár, using motorcycles (specifically two BMW R nineT modified to look identical).
What this project is, who else is involved, and other details are yet to be disclosed, but we can assume it is one of the following projects:
- Digger reshoots, following recent test screenings
- The Gauntlet
- Broadsword, though we view this as unlikely due to the film being a period piece and the motorcycles hired being newer in age.
There were also rumours of the actor being eyed for a role in Joseph Kosinski’s Miami Vice film, which is currently deep in pre-production and set to begin filming next month. It is possible that production for that film started earlier than expected, or that Cruise is filming earlier to avoid conflict with other productions. That as it may be, we still do not know if Cruise has joined the cast of that upcoming film.
