‘Clayface’ Synopsis Revealed Ahead Of Trailer (Exclusive)
We can exclusively reveal the first official synopsis for ‘Clayface’. Read our full ‘Clayface’ synopsis exclusive.
As marketing for Clayface ramps up, the trailer release becomes increasingly imminent. We here at Feature First have learnt the synopsis for the upcoming DC Studios film.
‘Clayface’ First Official Synopsis
The first official synopsis for Clayface reads as follows:
“Clayface tells the terrifying descent into hell of a promising Hollywood actor who has become a monster driven by revenge. An intense story that explores the loss of identity and humanity, the ravages of toxic love and the dark side of scientific ambition.”
What Does The ‘Clayface’ Synopsis Mean?
This of course matches early reports. Tom Rhys Harries plays Matt Hagen, a promising actor who is disfigured in an accident. We can assume from this synopsis that this accident was caused by a criminal, likely the mob boss looking actor who was spotted on set, this would explain the “drive by revenge” aspect of the synopsis, with the “monster” aspect of course referring to him becoming a beast made of clay.
As for the toxic love mention, we can assume that Hagen forms a relationship with Naomi Ackie’s character, who is rumoured to be a scientist. She also seemingly will be dating Max Minghella’s character, so a toxic love triangle could be formed out of this. The scientific ambition aspect of the synopsis obviously refers to the serum that Hagen will be taking, which is experimental and degrades his human form into the monster that will later be known as Clayface.
We have also heard that this first synopsis is an amalgamation of other synopsis’s that were tested by the studio earlier this year. Earlier versions focused more on each genre whilst this one seemingly combines them.
