‘In The Grey’ Trailer Releases Online Revealing New Release Date
Jake Gyllenhaal teams with Henry Cavill in the first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s In The Grey.
Guy Ritchie has been dominating the entertainment space this week having released his third series, Young Sherlock, and just having dropped the trailer for his next film, In The Grey.
Originally slated to release early last year, In The Grey follows a group of operatives as they steal back a fortune in a daring action-heist film. The synopsis for the film reads as follows, provided by producer-distributor Black Bear:
In The Grey follows a covert team of elite operatives who live in the global shadows, as comfortable wielding power and influence as they are automatic weapons and high explosives. When a ruthless despot steals a billion-dollar fortune, the team is sent to steal it back on what would be for anyone else a suicide mission. What begins as an impossible heist gets much worse, spiraling into an all-out war of strategy, deception and survival.

In The Grey has also been dated for a new release date, coming to theatres later than its initial April 10, 2026 release date. It will now be released in theatres on May 15.
The film comes in a very busy time period for director Ritchie, with him directing 9 films between 2019 and now, and four seasons of television across three separate shows, the latter of which include two seasons The Gentlemen, the Paramount+ original MobLand, and Prime Video’s Young Sherlock.
In The Grey marks the second collaboration between Ritchie and Jake Gyllenhaal (following 2023’s The Covenant), and third with Henry Cavill (following 2015’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and 2024’s The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare).

In The Grey is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Eiza González, and Rosamund Pike. The film is distributed and produced by Black Bear, who have dated the film for a May 15 release date.
