‘Wonder Man’ To Premiere All 8 Episodes On The Same Day

Marvel’s Wonder Man is an upcoming Marvel Television project created by Shang-Chi and Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton. The series follows Simon Williams’ (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) journey to starring in the key role of Wonder Man. A remake of the classic in-universe film which Simon saw in theatres and instantly became a hardcore fan. The series will also act as a parody of Hollywood and the Franchise filmmaking process. Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man.” These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.

Word of a Cretton-led Disney+ series began in December 2021 where a deal was signed with Marvel Studios, a comedy series that was already in development at that point. In June 2022, Trades would confirm that Cretton would direct a Wonder Man series with Andrew Guest now involved in the project. The series would undergo filming between April 2023 to May 2023 before being temporarily shut down due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America Strike before resuming in January 2024 and wrapping up in April of that same year. Wonder Man would be officially announced by Marvel in their “Marvel Studios | Look Ahead | Disney+” in October 2024 with snippets of footage attached showcasing Simon and Trevor’s upcoming journey together. 

With Marvel trying various release methods for a number of their series whether it be one episode a week, split releases or binge drops, many wondered what the release schedule for Wonder Man which premieres in January, would look like. As it’s the middle of the month, on Tuesday Disney+ released their “Next on Disney+” for the month of January 2026 which answered this exact question.

When Will The Other Episodes Of Wonder Man Premiere?

All eight episodes of Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ on January 27th, this follows a trend of binge drops which started with 2024’s Echo and continued with the likes of Eyes of Wakanda and Marvel Zombies. In a year that felt like we’d see Marvel Content for every month in 2026, this binge drop gives us an approximate one month gap between the finale of Wonder Man and premiere of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Wonder Man is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams / Wonder Man, Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Zlatko Burić as Von Kovak and more. All episodes premiere on Disney+ on January 27th, 2026.
