‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Teaser Trailer Leaks Online (Footage Description)

Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser trailer has leaked online. Here is a full footage description of it .

It has been an insane week for Marvel fans, with not one, not two, but three trailers for upcoming Marvel Studios projects being leaked in some capacity. Whilst the two Avengers: Doomsday trailers reveal some first looks at the film, they don’t really showcase what is happening in regards to the plot. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser trailer, however showcases a lot.

The leak is from a computer screen, eerily similar to the Spider-Man: No Way Home leak, but much better maintained as any watermarks are blacked out, and in combination with the poor video quality, it makes it hard to decipher properly. We’ve done our best though.

The song used in the trailer is “New York, I Love You but You’re Bringing Me Down” by LCD Soundsystem giving the trailer a sombre vibe.

The trailer opens with Spider-Man (Tom Holland) narrating: “Hi. My name is Peter Parker. You don’t remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop him… was to make everyone forget about me. I’m not just Peter Parker. I’m… Spider-Man. And sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.” Underneath this narration the teaser starts with a shot of New York City, and Peter Parker reading a letter, and then going to a store where it seems MJ (Zendaya) is working in and Peter staring at her longingly. There is what seems to be a press conference. A washing machine is shown. And then a shot of Peter at a window holding his hands together.

Peter begins running in his Spider-Man suit but without his mask, and then we see a series of comic book inspired shots. One of Peter swinging (Amazing Fantasy #15), one of Peter swinging and fighting Boomerang (The Amazing Spider-Man #345), and one of Peter fighting Tarantula (The Amazing Spider-Man #134 (July 1974)). There is also a shot of Peter fighting The Hand ninjas, who are in red costumes, but we couldn’t find if this was based on a comic or not. The next shot sees Peter in a building and the next few scenes are quite dark so its hard to make out who is where and what takes place.

Sadie Sink’s character can be heard saying “You’re a mess, Spider-Man. Stay out of my way. Or else it won’t just be your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.” It seems Sink’s character uses some type of magic and a scene shows a reflection of a puddle thats dispersed by a drop of water that falls into it. The trailer recording then stops here and another video begins. We assume there is a gap in what is shown.

Peter can be seen in barely any clothes, using his powers in an alleyway. Someone, seemingly Tombstone (?), says “Spiders have three life cycles. And between the cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. Those spiders who make it through…” The front cabin of a van is seemingly shown, likely belonging to Punisher. Spider-Man holds his head in pain. At this point, the black bars and the darkness of the trailer make it indiscernible again. Spider-Man can be seen steering a tank in the streets of New York (which was seen in set videos). A scene of somebody talking to Scorpion (Michael Mando) is shown. An explosion on the roads of New York City happens, Spider-Man hanging onto the back of the tank turns around. Spider-Man gets hit by a van. Then, a shot of Spider-Man talking to Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) happens with Parker saying “Trust me, Banner, I need your help.” Bruce replies but his response is indiscernible due to quality. More shots of the tank chase sequence are shown. The side of a building explodes and Spider-Man continues dodging thrown cars in the chase.

The title sequence flashes across screen. On the inside of a building, Frank Castle / Punisher shoots unseen opponents, helping Spider-Man. Spider-Man exclaims “Wait, what are you doing here?!” Frank responds: “Saving your ass, can’t you see that?!”

It’s unclear when or even if this trailer will officially be released. It’s clearly not a finished trailer in terms of CGI but do keep a lookout, as it may make Sony release it earlier than anticipated.
