Before the update launches on Thursday we have our first look at new locations, biomes and more coming to LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.

‘LEGO Fortnite’ x ‘Ninjago’ First Look At New Content

We’re less than a day away from the highly anticipated LEGO Fortnite Odyssey x Ninjago collaboration. Our first signs of this collaboration began in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey itself following the Chapter Seven, Season One content update. With this players were able to spot the Source Dragon of Motion flying high in the sky during their Odyssey sessions. Fast forward to December 4th where a community event began to complete a puzzle with pieces being sent out to content creators throughout the week until December 6th where the teaser image which showed a biome located on Ninjago Island was shown officially announcing the collaboration.

December 7th marked the two year anniversary of LEGO Fortnite’s launch following the Big Bang live event which kickstarted Fortnite Chapter 5. Vincent Tong, the voice actor for Kai in the Ninjago series sent a video message to wish the game mode a happy birthday while also giving us our first look at the non-LEGO version of Kai which players will be able use in any non-LEGO Fortnite game mode. Finally December 9th saw the release of the LEGO Fortnite x Ninjago trailer which showed us a cinematic of Jay training about the Monastery followed by brief snippets of Gameplay featuring Jay,Cole, Zane and Kai.

Today we’ve received the Patch Note Image for the new LEGO Fortnite season which drops tomorrow, December 11th alongside Fortnite OG Season 7. We’ll discuss what the image tells us about tomorrow’s update.

Starting things off, upon entering LEGO Fortnite Odyssey after the update we’ll find ourselves on Ninjago Island at the Monastery. On this island we’ll visit the Lightning, Earth and Ice Sanctums to gain the respective elemental powers. This new island also features three new biomes: Skyward Steppes, Breakwater Bluffs and the Forest Of Spirits.

With regards to the story the first part begins immediately after the update, we must venture to the previously mentioned sanctums, learning the elements and then seemingly face off against the Source Dragon of Motion. Along the way we can also pick up a Spinjitzu Scroll to master that skill as well.

Finally, we have two new weapon types being added to the game Nunchucks and Shurikens. Nunchucks are Jay’s signature weapon and as such they’ll be infused with the Lightning. Similarly Shurikens, Zane’s signature weapon will be infused with the Ice. This update will also motivate players to hop into Odyssey on a daily basis as they introduce a “Daily Chest Reward” which will likely be found at the Monastery.

In addition to the information above, The Kai Outfit will be an instant unlock upon purchasing the new LEGO Pass after the update. Jay, Zane and Cole will also be available in the Fortnite Item Shop that same day. As a reminder this is only Part 1 of the Ninjago collaboration, Part 2 will launch at some point in 2026 and will mostly likely feature a way to unlock the Lloyd Outfit which was featured in the Key Art.
