James Cameron fans can finally return to Pandora with the release of the new Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer.

Following a successful marketing campaign for the first trailer, which released in conjunction with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avatar: Fire and Ash is finally getting ready to further its marketing onslaught ahead of its release later this year on December 17th with a new trailer.

The new trailer gives us further insight into the world of the Na’vi and the location of Pandora, showcasing further looks into the now three film franchise. Watch it below:

As you can see, the trailer shows a lot, particularly about villain Varang, but also features the first time a Na’vi bonds with a human using their hair.

Avatar as a franchise is best known as the highest-grossing film of all time, and the highest-grossing franchise of all time (per film average). The story follows Jake Sully, a paraplegic human who is given new life as an Avatar, a human in a cloned Na’vi’s (a 10 foot tall blue alien humanoid) body. On the planet Pandora, Jake grapples with what is right and wrong, and chases his true love, Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). Soon, Jake, Neytiri and their children flee as the villainous humans who aim to colonise the planet invade.
