‘Marvel Zombies’ Ending Explained

Here’s what you need to know about the ending of Marvel Zombies Episode Four. Read more below.

Here is everything you need to know and understand about the ending of Marvel Zombies.

Marvel Zombies, set after the events of “What If… Zombies?!” follows an all new group of survivors determined to stop the Zombie Queen Wanda Maximoff and cure the zombie virus.

In the fourth episode, The Zombie Queen (Elizabeth Olsen) has gathered enough troops to take on the Infinity Hulk and take the Infinity Energy for herself. Hulk is not alone as the remaining survivors, Ms Marvel, Valkyrie, Blade Knight, Shang Chi, Katy, Spider-Man, Scott Lang, Rintrah, Sara, and London Master are there to hold off the army.

After Zombie Thor’s demise, Wanda surprises Infinity Hulk and begins draining him of Infinity Energy. Everyone looks in shock as they are attacked by Zombies. Kamala rushes towards Hulk and tries to stop Wanda but she’s unsuccessful. Wanda brings up how she and Kamala’s fates are intertwined for this event, she begins whispering into Kamala’s mind, claiming that helping her will save the world and bring everyone back. Kamala watches in shock as her friends are killed off. Wanda continues to whisper and Kamala remembers everyone who died throughout the series. Kamala says “This can’t all be for nothing,” and joins hands with Wanda. With a powered-up Wanda, she says “and so the world begins again.” A combination of infinity energy and Kamala’s hard light covers the planet and an explosion occurs.

Kamala wakes up in her bedroom, her mom calls her downstairs because her friends are here. She sees Riri and Kate at the door and immediately hugs them, mentioning that she misses them so much. The three head for boba, Kamala mentions that she hasn’t had any for five years which Kate responds, saying they had some yesterday, indicating that they have no memories of what occurred. She begins making a to-do list now that the zombie apocalypse is seemingly over. She notices a cute guy who’s revealed to be Kamran from the Ms. Marvel series. While she’s staring at him, a flash of zombies appears, shocking her. Kamala continues to look around, more flashes of zombies appear and she sees Riri fending them off. Riri shouts “Kamala can you hear me?”. Multiple flashes continue and Riri warns Kamala that this isn’t real and that it’s all fake. Kate asks Kamala if she’s good. Kamala stares at the two in shock. The screen turns black for a few seconds before Zombie Wanda jumpscares the viewer.

From what we’ve seen with the “glitches” it appears that by combining Infinity Energy with Kamala’s powers Wanda managed to create a planetwide Hex for her minions to live in. The Riri that appeared to warn Kamala resembled the one seen in episode one, so it’s also possible that time travel could be involved. Wanda’s goal now is unknown.
