‘Fortnite’ Dance With Sabrina Carpenter Launches May 30th
A special in-game event starring Fortnite Festival Season 8 icon Sabrina Carpenter begins on May 30th.
The Fortnite Festival season 8 festivities continue with the new “Dance With Sabrina” game mode coming to Fortnite on May 30th. The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 27th, via a blog post on the official Fortnite website.
What Is Dance With Sabrina About?
The “Dance With Sabrina” event is a new game mode in Fortnite running from May 30th at 12PM PT / 3PM ET until June 16th at 8:59PM PT / 11:59PM ET. Players can access this new mode under the “By Epic” section on the Discovery tab.
The game mode functions similarly to Fortnite Festivals, where players must time their button presses to the beat to fill their heart meter. The song lineup includes Sabrina Carpenter’s “Bed Chem” and “Espresso”. Players with the most heart will become more involved with the event as a Dance Leader, Special Effects Pro, or Video Artist.
Per the blog post, “As the Dance Leader, you’ll use your Emotes to lead Sabrina’s backup dancers. If you’re the Special Effects Pro, you can fire off visual effects to match the vibe as you see fit — time them well for maximum impact. If you’re the Video Artist, you’ll get to choose the backdrop for the show, customizing how it looks for everyone watching.” When the next track begins, players who were not selected for a role will get a higher priority.
Finally, when the show ends, the top 3 players with the most hearts will be featured in a photo with the Tour-Ready Sabrina Carpenter Outfit.
Sabrina Carpenter The Bed Chem Bundle Comes To The Shop
The fun doesn’t stop there as the Bed Chem bundle will arrive in the Fortnite Item shop on May 29 at 5PM PT / 8PM ET. The bundle includes the Bed Chem Emote and Bed Chem Jam Track. Pricing has not been revealed yet both emotes and jam tracks typically cost 500 V-Bucks each. With that in mind, the Bed Chem bundle should cost no more than 1000 V-Bucks in total.
