What Happens At The End Of Wonder Man Episode 4?

In the last episode of Wonder Man, Simon went to his hometown of Pacoima to celebrate his mom’s birthday. Trevor was tasked by Agent Cleary to gather any information about Simon from his family and decided to tag along but ultimately ended up destroying any information he uncovered. The episode ended on a high note as both characters received callbacks for Von Kovak’s Wonder Man.
The fourth episode titled “Doorman,” shifts the focus from Simon Williams and tells the origin of both DeMarr Davis aka Doorman, and the Doorman Clause, which prevents superpowered individuals from participating in Hollywood productions. The episode opens outside of the Wilcox Club where DeMarr works as a doorman. After the night ends he carries out the trash where he sees a weird goo spewing out of a Roxxon Bin. After touching the goo he’s transported to a strange dimension where a series of doors appear, he wakes up in his apartment, and he starts to witness his powers for the first time. After struggling to find answers, he goes back to work and a fire breaks out. He uses his powers to rescue everyone and gets hired as Josh Gad’s bodyguard. On the set of Cash Grab, DeMarr is offered a role in acting by Frank Preminger, and Josh Gad later offers him a role in the Cash Grab film. DeMarr kills it in the role and his rise to stardom begins with appearances in a number of projects among other things but as time goes on the hate begins to get to him, and things go downhill. His popularity is fading away, he’s begun losing roles, bills are overdue and he’s gotten into some controversy after a poor product but when Josh Gad calls him for a role in Cash Grab 2 things are seemingly looking up. During filming Cash Grab 2, DeMarr is drunk and his powers go haywire, and Josh Gad is lost in the Door Dimension.
At the end of the episode, following the incident that occurred during the filming of Cash Grab 2 all major Hollywood Studios collaborated to create the Doorman Clause which prevents superpowered individuals from performing in major motion picture and TV roles. Simon is horrified while watching the announcement and ends up walking out of the set of a crime drama he was set to star in.

Wonder Man is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams / Wonder Man, Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Zlatko Burić as Von Kovak and more. All eight episodes are now streaming on Disney+.
