Tyler, the Creator Releases Single “Thought I Was Dead” Ahead Of ‘Chromakopia’
As we get closer to the release of the Chromakopia album, Tyler, the Creator has released yet another single, titled “Thought I Was Dead”.
As we get closer and closer to the release of the Chromakopia album, Tyler, the Creator has released yet another single, titled “Thought I Was Dead”, ahead of the release.
The album rollout for Chromakopia thus far has been pretty popular, with the four released YouTube videos amassing an impressive 25M views in under a week. Now, Tyler, the Creator has released a fifth video, entitled “Thought I Was Dead”, and features the location previously seen in the Chromakopia World Tour announcement video.
The music video can see Tyler’s character, St. Chroma (or Chroma the Great), dancing on a plane that is next to a Chromakopia-themed shipping container. He’s surrounded by the men that first appeared in the “St. Chroma” video.
On Instagram, Tyler revealed that this is the eleventh song on the track listing for the album, and in his Twitter bio he states “fuck features”. This implies that there might not actually be features on the album at all, despite many speculating so. That being said, Daniel Caesar already lent his vocals for the “St. Chroma” video, so it is possible that this doesn’t mean anything.
To the former, this means we have our third confirmed track number on the album with the listing now consisting of:
1. “St. Chroma”
3. “Noid”
11. “I Thought I Was Dead”
The “Thought I Was Dead” music video is directed, written, produced and performed by Tyler, the Creator. Watch the video below:
