Travis Scott Cast In Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’
A recent TV Spot of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has been released and it features one of the most popular rappers of all time, Travis Scott.
Despite being many months away and having its main cast announced, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has one of the biggest ensembles of the decade, but it’s no surprise that there are still roles that have gone unannounced and are still yet to appear, as this is a tradition Christopher Nolan likes to follow.
Most recently this happened with Gary Oldman playing Harry S. Truman in Oppenheimer, It’s with no doubt that The Odyssey will feature major actors in the film who were left as a surprise for the film itself without an announcement. This time though, Sir Christopher Nolan hired one of the most popular rappers of all time for a speaking role in his adaptation of Homer’s epic poem.
Travis Scott Cast In Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey
With a total of over 100 charting songs and 10 nominations at the Grammy Awards, Travis Scott has been featured in a speaking role in The Odyssey in a TV spot that had just aired tonight during the AFC championship between Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. This is also not Nolan’s first time hiring a singer to act in one of his films, as Harry Styles made his acting debut in Dunkirk, which released back in 2017.
Despite what has been shown being barely five seconds long, it’s still a surprise to many that one of the most famous rappers and songwriters of all time has an acting role in the film adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, and is starring in a film with many other Hollywood A-listers such as Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and Tom Holland. This wouldn’t be the first time that Nolan and Travis Scott worked together though, as Travis Scott was featured on the soundtrack for Nolan’s 2020 film, Tenet, recording the main song titled THE PLAN.
Sir Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey releases in theaters on July 17th and it consists of a large ensemble cast consisting of Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, Charlize Theron and more.
