‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ At SDCC: Season 3 Trailer, To End With Season 4

The longest-running zombie saga on TV is still staying strong with the announcement of yet another season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

The time has come for yet another San Diego Comic Con, and with it, news about The Walking Dead franchise and its show, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Whilst AMC didn’t spill much about The Walking Dead: Dead City and its upcoming third season, the network did reveal two major pieces of news about Daryl Dixon Season 3 and its future.

‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Season 3 Trailer Released At SDCC

During their panel at SDCC, AMC aired the latest trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3, showing Norman Reedus’ Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol as they travel through Europe on their way to England. You can watch the trailer below: 

The trailer also confirms that the season will be releasing on September 7th, 2025, less than a year after Season 2. This means that audiences are treated to almost two full seasons of the series in the span of less than a year.

‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ To End With Season 4

Also in their SDCC panel, it was confirmed that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will end with it’s fourth season. This means that it will be the third-longest series in the TWD Universe, only behind Fear The Walking Dead (8 seasons) and The Walking Dead (11 seasons).

It’s sad news for many audiences, but bittersweet for others who feel the show has overstayed its welcome. Besides Seasons 3 and 4 of Daryl Dixon, the only other seasons in development for the universe remain Dead City Season 3 and the More Tales from the Walking Dead Universe series.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, and Stephen Merchant. Season 3 is set to be released on September 7th, 2025, on AMC and AMC+.
