‘The Pitt’ Season 2 Episode 14 Review: I’m Not Talking About Me
Another week, another episode of The Pitt. Here is our review for The Pitt Season 2 Episode 14 which is out now.
Hour 14 of The Pitt picks back up at 8:00 PM for Season 2 Episode 14; here is our review for it.
This episode continues from last episode in another very Robby-centric episode. There’s a sense of repetitiveness in the air with what they’re doing with Robby but Noah Wyle’s performance makes up for that tenfold. He has been absolutely fantastic this entire season but this episode in particular is perhaps him at his best.
The July 4th shenanigans continue as two patients come in who’ve been in a fight and one of them has an American flag inside his chest after getting stabbed with it. While en route with them one of the EMTs clips Robby’s bike.
When Robby finds out, he’s understandably upset before he gets over it when he realizes it can still run. Duke, who now knows of his own diagnosis, helps him fix the damage. Duke’s addition to the season initially felt questionable, but this episode makes it clear why exactly he’s been such a big part of the latter half of the season. There are some absolutely fantastic moments where he gets Robby to open up on what he’s been bottling in.

There’s also another very cool moment where Langdon gets a hero moment where he saves a patient from paralysis through a very risky procedure that nobody but him in the room has ever seen performed. We also have confirmation that he tweaked his back earlier in the day which I’m very curious on how they handle. I imagine it’s not going to be something in the finale, but I imagine next season is more of when that becomes a factor if ever, but it’s a very interesting development.
I did feel this stretch needed some more character stuff outside of just Robby so the Langdon moment felt important. There are some more arcs that feel a little underdeveloped this season. I’m curious to see if the finale touches on them at all.
Last week I said the ending to that episode was my favorite on the season thus far and I’m happy to say that this week has an even better ending—one that should lead directly into a very interesting finale. It’s an unexpected development of something they’ve built up to quite well.
While I do think the last few episodes were stronger, this one does set up the finale quite well. I’m not sure if this season will ultimately end up being as good overall in my opinion, but I do feel as though this show has found a way to keep the show somewhat fresh while still keeping the essence of the show, which is an accomplishment on its own.
