Supanova Enlists ‘Star Wars’ Stars John Boyega & Cameron Monaghan For 2025 Brisbane Comic Con
Maybe that galaxy isn’t so far, far away after all with two big Star Wars heroes coming down under. Here’s your latest update on Brisbane Comic Con
It’s that time of the year again as Supanova Comic Con begins announcing the guest list of their Brisbane Con ahead of the event in November. In an announcement article, the team at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming revealed that none other than John Boyega and Cameron Monaghan will be attending the convention as celebrity guests. The duo are famed for their roles in the Star Wars universe with Boyega best known for his role as Finn in the sequel trilogy films The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, whereas Monaghan hails from the video game Jedi Survivor trilogy.
Elsewhere, Boyega stars in the hit Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone and in Gina Prince-Bythewood’s The Woman King. Monaghan is also known for his dual roles as the Valeska twins in Fox’s Gotham series, where his characters played stand-ins for The Joker. He will next appear in Tron: Ares alongside Jared Leto, Evan Peters, and Greta Lee.
They join Alex Garfin (Superman & Lois), Richard Harmon (The Flash, Final Destination Bloodlines), Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit, Thor: Love & Thunder), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek), Nolan North (Uncharted), Jim Cummings (Winnie The Pooh), Neil Fanning (Scooby Doo), and many more attending the convention.
Supanova Comic Con is one of, if not THE biggest Australian comic con and is home to many events for cosplayers, pop culture fans, comic enjoyers, and those interested in the industry. The con is the perfect place for fans of comic book media, science fiction, and other related staples of nerd culture, making it the perfect place to show off your cosplay, meet people with similar hobbies or interested in the same aspects of media and purchase exclusive merchandise from your favourite franchises and actors.
You’ll be able to find exclusive Funko Pop! Vinyls, autograph and photograph opportunities with celebrity guests as well as interacting with cosplayers and other fans in the community.
Supanova Comic Con arrives in Brisbane for the weekend of November 7th through 9th at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Before that, however, the convention arrives in Adelaide for the end of October/start of November.
