The first proper Star Wars film in 8 years, Star Wars: Starfighter, has wrapped filming. Find out more inside.
The next new cinematic Star Wars story, the first since Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has just wrapped filming. Directed by Shawn Levy, Star Wars: Starfighter tells the story of a young force sensitive boy (Flynn Gray) who must seek protection from his Jedi uncle (Ryan Gosling) from villainous forces.
The news was broken by Shawn Levy on his Instagram, sharing a new behind-the-scenes look at the film.
The film began production on August 28th, before Starfighter director Shawn Levy took a break to focus on press for Stranger Things Season 5. Filming would then wrap on December 18th, 2025. If you do the calculation, the film would have filmed for 112 days when you don’t consider Levy’s break, likely putting production close to 100 days.
