‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Episode Lengths Revealed

Squid Game is coming back. Here are the runtimes of each episode of Squid Game Season 3

Season 3, the final season of Squid Game, is set to release on June 27th, so here is everything you need to know including the episode lengths.

Season 2 of Squid Game ends with our protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) watching his best friend Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan) be murdered by the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). In the closing shots of the season, we watch Gi-Hun in despair as he looks at Jung-bae’s lifeless body.

Unbeknownst to Gi-hun is that the Front Man was posing as Young-il, who ended up becoming one of Gi-hun’s closest allies in the games and the revolution. Season 3 will deal with the fallout of Jung-bae’s death and the relationship between Gi-hun and Front Man.

Squid Game Season 3 is set to have 6 episodes, which is the shortest episode count of the three seasons. Here are the episode lengths/runtimes for Squid Game Season 3.

Squid Game Season 3 Runtime

The entire season adds up to minutes, which is hours and minutes. This total runtime makes it the shortest season of the show. However, this season only has 6 episodes, while season 1 had 9 and season 2 had 7.

The longest episodes of the season are Episodes 3 and 4 at 66 minutes. Both of these tie for the second-longest episode of the series. Season 2 Episode 5 “One More Game” was 76 minutes.

The shortest episode of the season is the finale, episode 6, at 55 minutes. Both seasons 1 and 2 have had multiple shorter episodes.

While it’s interesting that the shortest episode is the finale, both finales of S1 and S2 have hovered around similar runtimes. Season 1’s finale, “One Lucky Day,” was 56 minutes long while Season 2’s finale, “Friend or Foe,” was 60 minutes long.

Season 4 of Squid Game is set to release on June 27th at 12 PM PST / 3 AM EST. Here is what time it drops in some other time zones. All 6 episodes will be released at that time in a binge-format release, as is common with all Netflix productions. It will stream globally exclusively on Netflix.

The show was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who also serves as showrunner.
