The first ever spin-off to the Spider-Man: Spider-Verse franchise, Spider-Noir has just released its first official trailer showcasing both black and white and colourised looks at the series. Nicolas Cage reprises his role as The Spider, aka Spider-Noir, a role which he originated in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The series will be released in both “Authentic Black & White” and “True Hue Full Color”, making the viewing experience personalised for each viewer. Watch the trailer below:
The series serves as the first of three Spider-Man projects this year, which includes Spider-Noir, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2.

The upcoming series also revealed a release date and model, opting to debut on Prime Video with all eight episodes on May 27th. This is normal for many of Prime Video’s flagship seasons, with The Boys, Reacher, Fallout, and Jack Ryan, all opting to drop their freshman seasons in binge format before switching to weekly in later seasons.
The series will also introduce and reintroduce Spider-Man villains into the live-action canon including Silvermane, as played by Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges, Harry Potter) and Sandman, as played by Jack Huston (The Irishman, Boardwalk Empire).

Spider-Noir is developed by Oren Uziel and stars Nicolas Cage, Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Brendan Gleeson, and Jack Huston. The series premieres on MGM+ and Prime Video on May 27th, 2026.
