Fans of pop stars Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, and Gracie Abrams have had a love-hate relationship with Apple Music over the last 24 hours. Many are even considering switching over to competitor Spotify.

Please Please Please Give Me Tour Tickets

Yesterday morning, Sabrina Carpenter announced her Short N’ Sweet US tour dates, with presale codes being offered to those who signed up at the link. Apple Music fans of Sabrina Carpenter were left unhappy after the “Espresso” singer announced a Top Listeners Presale, exclusive to Spotify customers. Even worse, the seats reserved are pit tickets.

The Spotify Is Mine

If Apple Music didn’t have enough to worry about, it has been 120 minutes since the release of Brandy and Monica’s remix of Ariana Grande’s “The Boy Is Mine”, and the single has still not reached the platform (Edit: The single has finally hit Apple Music). The outrage towards Apple Music for this instance has been considerably louder than against Carpenter. Many fans even express disappointment at the fact that Grande’s seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine”, released on the platform 10 minutes prior to other platforms.

You can stream The Boy Is Mine (with Brandy and Monica) on Youtube and Spotify here.

Tough Love, Apple Music?

Additionally, Gracie Abrams’ new album “The Secret Of Us” experienced malfunctions as well, as “Tough Love” is being reported as currently unplayable on the service. Though this was likely manufactured by the increase in streams from Taylor Swift’s feature on the album, track 5’s “us.”, the seventh track doesn’t seem to be playing after 15 seconds for most users. (I can confirm the song doesn’t play at all, as of the time of writing this post.)

Whatever the source of these issues may be, it poses a threat to Apple Music’s timely assurance when all stacked together. Though currently valued at a cheaper price point than Spotify, should this trend continue, Apple Music may not be considered as trustworthy when it comes to exclusivity anymore.
