Raim Djawadi is no stranger to superhero films or genre projects in general. From his work on Batman Begins to his solo score for Iron Man to his compositions for the Game of Thrones franchise, he’s one of the industry’s most beloved composers. Now, the composer has been attached to Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl.

This will be Djawadi’s seventh score for a comic book adaptation following Blade: Trinity, Son of the Mask, Batman Begins, Blade: The Series, Iron Man, and Eternals, but also his second score for a Craig Gillespie directed film, following 2011’s Fright Night, starring Colin Farrell.

It is unclear whether or not Djawadi will use motifs presented in James Gunn’s Superman for his score, such as the theme for Superman himself, who is rumoured to appear in the film. That film’s score was by John Murphy and David Fleming.
