‘Pluribus’ Episode 5 To Release Early on Apple TV For Thanksgiving

Pluribus Episode 5 would’ve coincided with Thanksgiving so it looks like the streamer will move up the episode to avoid the date.

As expected, Pluribus has taken off, now becoming the most viewed debut drama on Apple TV, surpassing Severance Season 2 for the honor. The show has blessed TV fans with a show worthy of the praise it’s getting. Now with Thanksgiving around the corner, there’s more to be thankful for as Episode 5 of Pluribus will have an early release.

Thanksgiving this year is on the 28th of November, so it looks like Apple wanted to avoid releasing it then, so they are dropping it 2 days early.

It will release on Wednesday, November 26th, according to the Apple TV app. However, in the case of Apple TV, they release episodes 6 hours earlier than they say. That means it will be released on Tuesday, November 25th at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST for Episode 5.

For those unfamiliar, Pluribus episodes are set to air on Friday, which means Thursday at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST. As far as we know, this will still be the same release schedule for episode 6 onwards. So while it’s only a 5-day wait for Episode 5, it will be a 9-day wait for Episode 6.

Pluribus Episode 5 is titled “Get Milk.” Here is the description for the episode:

Carol doubles down on her investigation—loneliness be damned. Meanwhile, howls in the night reveal a new source of danger

Streamers or even cable releasing episodes early is nothing new, even for the most popular shows out there. Only a few weeks ago, It: Welcome to Derry released Episode 2 of the show early so it could release on Halloween. A few years ago, HBO released Episode 5 of The Last of Us Season 1 early because it would have conflicted with the Super Bowl had they not.

On the other side of the spectrum, Netflix is releasing Stranger Things Season 5 Part 2, which has 4 episodes on Christmas, and Part 3, the finale of the entire show, on New Year’s Eve. It’s a ballsy move, but if any show can pull it off without a hitch, it’s Stranger Things.

Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, Carlos Manuel Vesga as Manousos, Karolina Wydra as Zosia, Miriam Shor as Helen, Samba Schutte as Koumba Diabaté, and more.
