Ultra-Humanite In DC Comics

Ultra-Humanite was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. He makes their debut in Action Comics #13 (June, 1939). He was Superman’s first villain before Lex Luthor.
Due to a scientific experiment, Ultra-Humanite became one of the greatest minds on earth. However, as the energies of his mind improved, his physical brain and consequently his body couldn’t keep up giving him the appearance of a small, elderly, crippled scientist. As a result he developed a way to surgically move his brain from one body to another starting with actress Dolores Winters, a perfect host to commit many crimes as male police officers would not suspect a woman, let alone a famous one at that to be a criminal mastermind.
During his time as Dolores Winters he (alongside his future self) faced off against the All-Star Squadron. Using the powerstone and his own intellect he was able to grant powers to his lieutenants Deathbolt and Amazing-Man (Who would later turn on him). Meanwhile his future self sent a brainwashed Infinity, Inc. and several members of the Secret Society of Super-Villains into the past to achieve their goal of ultimate power. This plan doesn’t end well as the All-Star Squadron and the now freed Infinity, Inc stop them forcing Ultra back into hiding.
Sometime during the 1950s, Ultra attempted to steal Bruce Wayne’s body but was ultimately stopped by his arch nemesis Superman.
As time went on, Ultra’s technology kept advancing to the point where he no longer needed to surgically transfer his brain between bodies but rather he could transfer his consciousness directly. As his mental-energy generation grew stronger his human hosts bodies were no longer sustainable prompting Ultra to re-develop an albino gorilla capable of holding his advanced mind, this also gave him incredible strength and durability.
With this new, more effective body Ultra’s powers were better than ever. He re-formed the Secret Society of Super Villains and used them to attack both the Justice Society of America and the Justice League of America however, they were defeated and sent to interdimensional limbo while Ultra escaped with some help from his earlier self from 1941. The two teamed up jumpstarting the events which lead to the battle with the All-Star Squadron and brainwashed Infinity, Inc. Ultra attempted to fight the Justice Society of America once again but was thwarted by Infinity, Inc. During this encounter he temporarily lost his mental powers.
After the events of Crisis on Infinite Earth, Ultra-Humanite’s ties to Superman were removed and he first fought the All-Star Squadron before becoming a recurring villain for the Justice Society of America. During his initial battle with Infinity, Inc he came into mental domination with alien spore creatures but was later freed by Infinity, Inc. and the New Teen Titans. Ultra eventually developed a new body (keeping the Albino Gorilla as a pet) and faced off with the Justice Society of America again but was ultimately defeated.
Behind the scenes, Ultra transferred his consciousness into Johnny Thunder of the Justice Society of America, taking possession of a pen that activates the Thunderbolt (a magic genie, who can do almost anything if it has a human guide to steer it). Using Thunderbolt, Ultra was able to rejuvenate his host body and create a world dictatorship. Featuring futuristic cities and many of the metahuman population placed under suspended animation. Ultra was defeated yet again and met a fatal end by the Crimson Avenger.
Ultra-Humanite possesses Enhanced Intellect, Superhuman Strength (In albino gorilla and tyrannosaur bodies), Superhuman Durability (In albino gorilla and tyrannosaur bodies). He can control Gorillas, perform Hypnosis, Telepathy, Telekinesis and can do a Brain-Blast.
Ultra-Humanite is also skilled in Science, Gadgetry, Medicine and Acrobatics (In albino gorilla body only).
