The marketing for Peacemaker season 2 is finally underway, with a first look being shown in a sizzle reel.
As the first DC Studios’ series draws to a close, the time to unveil looks at more is coming. As part of a slate highlight sizzle reel, Max teased new looks at upcoming series from their streaming service. A short 7 second compilation of clips from Peacemaker season 2 was featured and in it we get our first official footage of the series.
The clip gives us a look at John Cena’s Christopher Smith in costume as Peacemaker bursting into a room flanked by two guards. Next, a shot of Freddie Stroma’s Adrian Chase / Vigilante dual-wielding pistols defensively, followed by a different scene of Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. walking down an office corridor. The next scene sees Christopher Smith in casual attire decapitating an unrevealed character with a hatchet. Another scene shows Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) whip out a baton in a bar. The final shot in this first look shows the 11th Street Kids clinking beverages.
The words “No matter how far away we are from each other, no one will ever break us apart” play throughout the shots, hammering in the sense of teamwork established last season.
James Gunn shared the spot in conjunction with the release of the finale of The Penguin, stating “With endings come new beginnings: the series premiere of Creature Commandos arrives this December and Peacemaker Season Two in 2025 on Max.”
Peacemaker season 2 stars John Cena as the titular character, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of Eagly. Peacemaker season 2 is expected to be released in the second half of 2025.
