McKenna Grace Joins Cast Of ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’
After being spotted at the end of the teaser trailer, it has been officially confirmed that McKenna Grace will join the cast of the Blumhouse sequel.
McKenna Grace has officially joined the cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, appearing at the end of the teaser trailer and immediately exciting fans of the franchise. Whilst she was spotted immediately, some fans brushed it off as she was not officially announced as part of the cast, but it is now confirmed that she is indeed part of the movie.
After the teaser was posted, Grace posted it to her Instagram with the caption “Surprise 🤭🫣😭🐻”, confirming her involvement in the sequel.
Her addition to the cast is very welcome as she is known for giving great performances, even having a bit of history in horror. From her small role in The Haunting of Hill House to being the lead of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its sequel, spearheading the new era of Ghostbusters, Grace clearly can bring a lot to a role. She has proven time and again that she can handle dark, suspenseful material while still refining character details and development.
What makes her casting even more exciting is the fact that she’s a longtime fan of Five Nights at Freddy’s herself, having expressed her love for the games in past interviews and often on her socials – even making posts after seeing the first one. Having an actor who is already passionate about the source material adds an extra level of authenticity to the performance, ensuring that she understands and respects what makes the franchise so beloved. Even if it is an original character, there is no doubt that she will make it memorable.

Our speculation is that she will be the opening kill of the movie, perhaps playing a troublesome teenager who sneaks into Freddy’s whilst it’s abandoned, or is simply a victim of the animatronics making their way into the outside world.
With Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 set to expand on the world of the first movie, Grace’s role is still a mystery at the end of the day and she likely won’t stick around for long. Being a huge fan of the franchise, she would likely agree to any size role, however, her presence only adds to the excitement, even though this is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 is directed by Emma Tammi with a screenplay written by Tammi, Seth Cuddeback, and series creator Scott Cawthon. The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard. The film releases in theaters on December 5th.
