New details have emerged from the latest installment in the Jurassic World franchise, Jurassic World Rebirth.
Following 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, the latest installment has been officially announced. Jurassic World Rebirth was first revealed to be in the works by Variety on January 22nd, 2024 with franchise original scribe David Koepp returning to write the script. A few months later the film began production on June 13th, 2024 where it would film in locations such as Thailand, Malta and the UK.Â
The film follows an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air. The plot is further explained in the following synopsis:
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
Who Stars In The Film?
The film stars a brand new cast which includes Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Béchir Sylvain, Philippine Velge, and Ed Skrein.

- Scarlett Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.
- Mahershala Ali is Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team leader.
- Jonathan Bailey plays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis.
- Rupert Friend appears as Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs.
- Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked civilian family.
- Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda star as Reuben’s family.
- Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein star as members of Zora and Krebs’ crews.
Jurassic World Rebirth is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, and more. The film hits theatres on July 2nd, 2025.
