‘Jurassic World Liberation’: ‘Rebirth’ Sequel Receives Possible Title
A new rumour has been floating around that suggests Jurassic World 5 will be titled Jurassic World Liberation.
Following the success of Jurassic World Rebirth at the 2025 box office, all eyes are on the sequel to one of the biggest franchises of all time. Early word has audiences expecting the return of Gareth Edwards as director and Scarlett Johansson as lead actress, now new reports suggest the film already has a title.
The title Jurassic World Liberation has been floating around, first reported on by English Twitter update account SwrveYT, who, in addition to the title, alleges that the film may be targeting a 2027 release date instead of the previously rumoured June 2028 release date. The question now proposed by this news is whether or not Jurassic World Liberation could even be produced in this time frame.

Jurassic World Rebirth took 109 days to film and spent approximately 230 days in post production. This means that for Liberation to release in 2027, the film would have to begin production by the end of 2026, assuming the studio is targeting an EOY release. Any earlier would mean the loss of Scarlett Johansson as a lead, who is juggling major roles in films such as Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II and Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Martyrs.

Jurassic World Rebirth was both a figurative and literal rebirth of the franchise following the end of Owen and Claire’s story in Jurassic World Dominion. The film followed a corporation that recruited scientists and mercenaries to extract dinosaur DNA from an abandoned island, who on the way, encounter a stranded family.
