‘Hytale’ System Requirements Revealed
Ahead of Early Access, the minimum, recommended and creator hardware requirements have been revealed.
We now enter the third week since Hytale was put back in development. To recap, Hytale was cancelled by Riot Games on June 23rd, 2025, Months later on November 17th, Hypixel Studios Co-Founder Simon Collins-Laflamme announced that he reacquired the intellectual property rights for the game and declared that “Hytale is saved!” with development resuming immediately after.
Later that week on Friday, November 21st, the pricing for Early Access was announced, there would be three editions of the gam,e starting at $19.99 USD. A week later and the Early Access release date was set for January 13th, 2026 with Pre-Orders beginning a month earlier on December 13th, 2025.
A new week means a new announcement this time regarding the System requirements you’ll need to run Hytale. We’ll discuss the Minimum, Recommended Specifications and much more below.
What System Requirements Are Necessary To Run Hytale

The requirements are measured in three tiers: Minimum, Recommended, and Recording/Streamer. Minimum targets 1080p, 30+ FPS on Low Settings, Recommended targets 1080p, 60+ FPS on High Settings and Recording/Streamer targets 1440p with a stable framerate with high-quality video capture and streaming. See a breakdown of the different requirements below:
Minimum Requirements (1080p @ 30 FPS)
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11. CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 (or equivalent) or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (or equivalent). RAM: Singleplayer with dedicated graphics requires 8 GB; singleplayer with integrated graphics requires 12 GB; multiplayer-only requires 8 GB. GPU: Integrated options include Intel UHD Graphics 620 and AMD Radeon Vega 3; dedicated options include the NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, and Intel Arc A-Series. Deprecation notice: Support for Vulkan 1.3 will be required in the future. Storage: A SATA SSD with 20 GB of free space is needed. Network: A 2 Mbit/s connection is required for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible).
Recommended Requirements (1080p @ 60 FPS)
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11. CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 (or equivalent) or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or equivalent). RAM: 16 GB. GPU: Integrated options include Intel Iris Xe Graphics and AMD Radeon 660M; dedicated options include the NVIDIA GTX 900 Series, AMD Radeon 400 Series, and Intel Arc A-Series. Deprecation notice: Support for Vulkan 1.3 will be required in the future. Storage: An SSD with 20 GB of free space is required. Network: An 8 Mbit/s connection is needed for multiplayer (UDP/QUIC compatible).
Recording / Streamer Requirements (1440p @ 60 FPS)
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or Windows 11. CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K (or equivalent) or AMD Ryzen 9 3800X (or equivalent). RAM: 32 GB. GPU: NVIDIA RTX 30 Series, AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series, or Intel Arc A-Series. These recommendations reflect the significantly better video quality newer graphics cards provide at a given bitrate, especially for livestreaming. Storage: An NVMe SSD with at least 10% (or 50 GB) of free space is recommended, and for best performance, a separate drive should be used for video recording.
In its current state, the required specifications appear to be much more demanding than Minecraft, meaning you may not get similar results in Hytale. However, as the game gets updated the requirements may change, the developers overall goal is improving the performance of Hytale.
Please note that despite meeting the various requirements, the game has been said to be buggy on numerous occasions and as such may not perform as expected. Modding will also take up more requirements than the ones listed above.
Additionally, the developers have given a list of tips that players could keep in mind when trying to run the game. These include the following:
- Setting the “view distance” to 192 blocks.
- Ensure that no other programs are running.
- Having at least 20GB of Storage, preferably using an SSD.
- If you have a computer that doesn’t run singleplayer very well, you should join a friend and play with them on their singleplayer or play on online servers as they show better performance.
Finally, the developers are hard at work on supporting Linux and Mac (Intel Processors & Apple Processors) as soon as possible. Steamdeck compatibility has been discussed and per the developers it should work in theory but they must first ensure the game complies with Steam’s policies and they have proper input mapping / small display UI.

Hytale is developed by Hypixel Studios, the game is set to launch in Early Access for PC on January 13th, 2026. Pre-Orders begin a month earlier on December 13th, 2025.
