‘Hytale’ Account Creation Live & First Look At Username Reservation

The moment is finally here, later this week players can finally pre-order Hytale for the first time. As the developers make final preparations before pre-orders go live on Saturday December 13th, Account Creation has been enabled allowing players to sign up for Hytale and be ready for the big day. Additionally a first look at how Username Reservation will be handled has been revealed, we’ll discuss both today.

How To Create A ‘Hytale’ Account

Creating a Hytale account is a rather short process that begins by heading to the game’s official website and locating either the “Join Now” or “Register” buttons. Alternatively they can go directly to the account registration page. See a list of steps below:

1. After heading to the registration page, choose your sign up method using one of the following options: Discord, Epic Games, Google, Microsoft, Twitch or E-Mail.
2. Players then enter a password. Please Note you may need to use a unique password as the website uses information from Have I Been Pwned and may indicate your password was found in a data breach.
3. After entering your password you’ll be sent a Verification Email that can be found in either your Inbox or Junk Mail. You’ll have 24 Hours to select “Confirm Account” before the link expires and you have to send the email again.
4. After selecting “Confirm Account” you’ll be sent back to the Hytale website where your account will be verified and then created.

How To Reserve Your ‘Hytale’ Username

To start things off, the username reservation feature isn’t fully enabled yet, this will be enabled in the days leading up to pre-orders. See a list of steps below:

1. Log into your Hytale Account.
2. On the Account Menu, locate the “Usernames” button on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Select the “Reserve Username” option.
4. In the first box, enter your desired Username (Must be 3-16 characters long and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores)
5. In the second box, enter your Token and finally select Reserve Username.

The Username Menu implies that you can reserve multiple usernames as long as you have a unique token for each. We also have a “Profiles” Menu but there are no details on it at this time.

Tokens will be sent out via the Hytale newsletter in the coming days so make sure to subscribe to it through the Account Menu. Additionally if you had previously signed up for the Hytale Beta Test or signed up to the Hypixel MC Forums (And opted into the Mailing List) you will also be sent a token. Emails will be sent out by either Hypixel or Riot Games (for those who signed up for the Beta) so be on the look out over the course of this week.

Hytale is developed by Hypixel Studios, the game is set to launch in Early Access for PC on January 13th, 2026. Pre-Orders begin a month earlier on December 13th, 2025.
