Following a success with its first season, Goosebumps is finally back for its second season. A release date, January 10th, 2024, was announced via video on Wednesday (October 9th) morning. The announcement comes nearly exactly a year after the release of the Goosebumps’ first season, which suffered a botched release on Disney+

The teaser puts the “goo” in Goosebumps, forming the series title in a black inky substance not dissimilar to Sony’s Venom. Soon, a subtitle appears, officially announcing that Goosebumps season 2 will be subtitled The Vanishing. We then cut to a clip of David Schwimmer’s Anthony covered in the inky substance and wincing. The synopsis for the second season of the anthology series reads as follows:

“The season begins when twins Devin and Cece Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”
