‘Fortnite’ X ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ Available Now
The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants is now available in theatres and fans can pick up a number of Spongebob-themed cosmetics from the Item Shop starting today.
SpongeBob SquarePants follows the titular character’s adventures in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob, who works as a fry cook at famed fast food outlet, The Krusty Krab. He has a very positive outlook on life, spreading joy and making friends wherever he goes. Word of a SpongeBob SquarePants officially began as early as yesterday when the official Fortnite Twitter / X page tweeted out the following:
This collab doesn’t come as a surprise as the franchise has collaborated with a number of games including Clash of Clans and Minecraft in preparation for the launch of Spongebob’s latest animated film, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants which hit theatres today on December 19th, 2025. SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail in their biggest, all-new, can’t miss cinematic event ever…The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman – a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate – on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.
Today in order to coincide with the release of the film, a number of Spongebob-themed cosmetics have just hit the item shop including a SpongeBob Sidekick and “SpongeBob’s Patty Wagon” which is loosely inspired by the vehicle of the same name which appears in 2004’s The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
