The fast-paced, 32-player battle royale mode is now live in Fortnite. Blitz Royale as described by Epic Games, is a 5-minute rogue-like battle royale experience ideal for on-the-go settings on your mobile device or Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2.
Each player begins with the same medallion or weapon on a small map inspired by Fortnite Chapter 1. By eliminating opponents and surviving storm circles, you can level up your Blitz Level which grants you weapons and power-ups (Boons). Additionally, Golden Chests can give you more power-ups (Boons) while Golden Supply drops give you more medallions. Unlike Battle Royale, Medallions won’t show your location on the map and cannot be dropped by enemies.
The game mode is available in Solo, Duo or Squad queues from now until July 15th. An updated version of this game mode may return, though that likely depends on the reception to the game mode in general.
Weapon Rotations

Each week of Fortnite Blitz Royale will feature a new lineup of Mythic and Exotic rarity weapons to change up the gameplay. Per the blogpost, we can expect fan favorite weapons in Week 1, Avatar: The Last Airbender weapons in Week 2, Boss Weapons in Week 3 and finally the return of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle weapons in Week 4. See the full details below:

June 24: Week 2 – The Avatar Returns! Pagodas from the Four Nations appear on the map, and players start with a Bending Scroll from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
July 1: Week 3 – Bad Bosses! Replacing Bending Scrolls are power-packed boss weapons like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and the new Blitz Chain of Hades.
July 8: Week 4 – TMNT Melee Mayhem! Replacing boss items are melee weapons from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic Typhoon Blade, Blitz Kneecapper, and more.
Free Rewards

Fortnite Blitz Royale will offer two rewards that players can earn a skin and a glider. Starting with the Blitz Knight Outfit, players can earn this reward by either earning 10 account levels or placing top 10 in 20 matches of Blitz Royale. If you miss this opportunity, the skin will be available in the shop at an unannounced date.
Earning three Victory Royales in Blitz Royale gives players the Blitz ‘Brella Glider which, unlike the Blitz Knight Outfit can not be purchased in the shop, so make sure to get those three victories asap!
Both rewards can be obtained until Blitz Royale ends on July 15th.
