The second season of Goosebumps, titled Goosebumps: The Vanishing, has just received its first full-length trailer following a title and release date reveal last week.
A Goosebumps: The Vanishing trailer dropped earlier this week on October 20, 2024, at New York Comic Con. It featured in-depth looks at our leads, Anthony played by David Schwimmer, Devin played by Sam McCarthy, and Cece played by Jayden Bartels.

In the trailer, Anthony has his two children from his last marriage arrive in New York City. While they’re staying with him and while he attempts to solve a 30-year-old mystery, he frees a supernatural creature buried deep within the earth, causing all sorts of problems including his own possession.
The second season is described in an official synopsis which reads as follows:
“Goosebumps: The Vanishing, the new chapter of the thrilling anthology series, premieres January 10 on Disney+ and Hulu. The season begins when twins Devin and Cece Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”
The second instalment of the anthology series seems to take inspiration from RL Stine’s original novels Stay Out of the Basement, The Ghost Next Door, The Haunted Car, Welcome to Camp Nightmare, Monster Blood, and The Girl Who Cried Monster.
Schwimmer, McCarthy and Jayden Bartels are joined by Ana Ortiz, Galilea La Salvia, Francesca Noel, Elijah M. Cooper, and Stony Blyden.
While other directors are yet to be announced, The Blair Witch Project creator Eduardo Sanchéz is set to direct an episode of the series. Hilary Winston serves as showrunner on the series, with the series being developed and executive produced by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman.
Goosebumps: The Vanishing stars David Schwimmer, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, Ana Ortiz, Galilea La Salvia, Francesca Noel, Elijah M. Cooper, and Stony Blyden. The season releases on Disney+ and Hulu on January 10th, 2025.
