‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ Runtime Revealed (Exclusive)
After receiving the first teaser a few weeks ago, we have already learned the runtime of Final Destination: Bloodlines.
We can exclusively reveal that the runtime for Final Destination: Bloodlines is 1 hour and 50 minutes, making it the longest in the franchise. The average length for a Final Destination movie is around 93 minutes, meaning that Bloodlines follows tradition and doesn’t stray too far from the length established by the other movies.
What this means is that the narrative is likely similar to that of the other movies in the franchise, keeping it simple plot-wise but delving into the atmosphere and aesthetic that the fans have grown to love. We recently revealed the first details of the movie here, which included a young woman facing the consequences of her grandmother avoiding death years before – proving that you cannot escape death and it will always catch up.
This has been an integral concept within the franchise, but it has never been explored in this way and through the lens of lineage. With a cast that includes Brec Bassinger (presumably as the grandmother), Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Anna Lore, and more, Sony appears to be attempting to reinvent the franchise or repackage it to appeal to a new and younger audience. As far as we are aware, this movie does not even lean into the same nostalgia bait that some horror franchises, such as Scream, have fallen victim to.
The only character confirmed to be returning is William Bludworth, played by the iconic Tony Tod,d and it is only right that he is back, considering that he acts as the exposition device for the audience and guides the main cast on what they have to do to make it to the end of the movie. This will be one of Todd’s last roles following his untimely passing last year.

The first teaser for the movie was released at the beginning of February, and it boasted some of the most impressive visuals in the whole franchise. The end of the trailer boasts ‘Filmed for IMAX,’ signaling that this movie is going to take it more extreme and more cinematic, opening the door for a load of possibilities but also raising excitement as it means that the gore can go further and the horror/action scenes can be more intense.
In the teaser, a tattoo artist is seen being taunted by death, and his murder is built up in true Final Destination fashion, with the wind slowly causing a chain of events that lead to him being set alight along with his shop whilst a chain is attached to his nose ring from the ceiling fan. If this is any indication of how ridiculous and over the top the whole movie is going to be, then fans can remain hopeful that it is going to be faithful to the franchise whilst bringing the technology of today to create an uncomfortable and palpable experience when the film hits cinemas in May.

Final Destination: Bloodlines is directed by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky and stars Brec Bassinger, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Tony Todd, Teo Briones, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, and Richard Harmon. Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Jon Watts are producing.
